I set out to understand the complex figure of Saint-Just, guillotined at the age of 27 in 1794. Blood-drinker? Proletarian hero? Queer icon? Archangel of the Revolution?

With the help of a historian and a handful of young actresses and actors, the revolutionary and his legend are brought back to life in a casting of an ideal Saint Just, combining political discussions and notes from location scouting. Neither a trial for the prosecution, nor a rehabilitation, by confronting Saint-Just's texts with those he himself has inspired over the last 200 years, everyone is invited to come to terms with this Revolution that both founds us and haunts us.
