The Postman

In the cold February of 1992, Kabul is about to change forever. As the city hangs by a thread, Amir, a postman, goes about the city delivering letters on his regular route. 

The Postman is about the lives of ordinary Kabulis, seen through Amir’s eyes as he brings them messages from across the country, and the world. He develops a special relationship with his route, and the people he sees also treat him as someone who knows what’s going on. He is the bearer of news, the sparrow that announces spring.
