It's huge how much needs to change !

In the 70s, the Unité Cinéma at the Maison de la Culture in Le Havre was home to a global cinema experiment that led to the production of a dozen films. My aim is to bring this adventure, unique in France, out of oblivion, and restore its dynamism, intellectual rigor and creative spirit. Using texts from the period, large excerpts from the films and testimonials from participants in the collective creations, my documentary will invite viewers to follow the progress of political thought in action. At a time when platforms are destabilizing the cinema and audiovisual economy, the experience of the Unité Cinéma can be a valuable tool for thinking about the role of cinema and the function of cultural structures in our society.
