Fragments of a revolution

Iran, June 12, 2009. Denouncing “massive fraud” in the presidential elections, hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets to express their discontent. While local journalists were muzzled and foreign journalists expelled from the country, these violent clashes were seen around the world thanks to amateur footage filmed by anonymous demonstrators.
For a year, Iranians abroad followed the “Green Revolution” via the Internet. Between the anonymous amateur images and the images of the authorities, the reflections, the feelings exchanged by e-mail and the official speeches, they tried to put together, from a distance, their own account of the events.
This film tells one of those stories.
