Over the walls

Marie-Noëlle Battaglia / 50 min / 2020

English
Marseille is an open city, with a third of its housing in gated communities, surrounded by fences or walls.
Sarah lives on the edge of Coin Joli, a suburban neighborhood that used to be open to all, but whose streets have gradually been closed off. She is determined to fight these closures, which are spreading like dominoes from residence to residence, generating detours and conflicts.

Immerse yourself in this little corner of the city that is shaping another Marseille, the Marseille of tomorrow, in an unstable balance between individual aspirations, private property and the desire for a city that is open and shared by all.
