“La plage des Shadoks” is a documentary fable that uses the absurdist tone of the 1960s cartoon ‘The Shadoks’ to tell the story of Cap Ferret, a fatally unstable sandbank that has suddenly become a vacation spot for the very well-to-do. Ocean erosion, waste treatment, oil extraction and real estate speculation are all on the menu for a vacation that may turn out to be a little salty...
