Choreographer Boris Charmatz and actress Jeanne Balibar create an original piece, La danseuse malade, based on texts by Tatsumi Hijikata, founder of Butô and a legendary figure in contemporary choreographic culture.

This film follows the work of the two artists step by step, from the initial trials and tribulations to the first performances, as they confront Hijikata's harsh, chaotic and deeply moving universe.
